Two frequently asked questions coaches receive are “Is this confidential?” and “Will I be judged for what I say?”
At Pacific Coaching we are bound by the ICF Code of Ethics, which includes confidentiality. Section 1 of the Code of Ethics is Responsibility to clients. Point 3 reads “…maintaining the strictest levels of confidentiality…”. Point 5 explains having a clear understanding “…about the conditions under which information will not be kept confidential (e.g., illegal activity, if required by law, pursuant to valid court order or subpoena; imminent of likely risk of danger to self or others, etc.)” What you say in a coaching session with a Pacific Coaching coach is 100% confidential.
Judgements. This word does not fit in with the coaching philosophy at Pacific Coaching. There will be no judgement during your coaching session. This time is for you to explore, to discover, and to untangle ideas and goals. Our aim is to make you comfortable and to walk alongside you while you do this. We strive to hold space for you to bring your topics and goals that is welcoming and conducive to personal growth.
If you are looking for a safe space, where you can challenge yourself, and where the coach will support you on your growth journey, reach out to Pacific Coaching for a no cost, no commitment introduction meeting. Meetings can be in person (depending on location), via Zoom, or via phone.
