Vanessa Drew
Lead Coach
Vanessa is a certified coach and teacher. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, Modern Languages, French from the University of British Columbia, a Certificate of Organizational Coaching (COC) from UBC, and is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation. Her passions include helping people grow and achieve their goals, building community, and creating and sharing resources.
She currently teaches high school Core French 9-12 and British Columbia First Peoples 12, as well as is an Instructional Coach at a grades 9-12 high school in Abbotsford, British Columbia. She has presented at professional development conferences for language teachers, reads and stays current with research and writes posts for OuiFrenchTeachers.com a resource for language teachers. She is a founding member of Triumph Coaching and she has experience coaching professional teams and groups.
Did we mention podcasts? Vanessa is also the host of 2 podcasts: Oui French Teachers and Coaching for Real Life. These are used as connection vehicles – connecting teachers and connecting coaches and clients.
Helping people grow is not new to Vanessa as she has chaired professional development committees and participated on leadership teams. Vanessa looks for innovative ways to connect and encourage people. This has led to the #encourage_support_grow project which has the message of “the more we encourage each other, the more we support each other, the more we all grow”.
Originally from England, she was raised in Western Canada, has travelled to numerous English and French speaking countries. She loves books, yoga, rowing, and exploring the great outdoors in her own ‘backyard’ in British Columbia, Canada.
